You deserve rest after not succeeding
You spent the same amount of energy, no matter the outcome.

You don't get an applause for resting and taking care of yourself. Nobody is coming to force you to take a nap. Taking your time and doing something well instead of fast is not always rewarded. 'Bouncing back' sounds easier than it is. Stillness is a necessity, making the choice to experience stillness is an active decision. And so on, and so on.
It sounds like it's all up to us, and it actually really is. But it's hard to go against what we were so deeply infused by when we were young or against expectations of loved ones specifically and society in general. Not to mention the anxieties that haunt every one of us.
Still, it's up to us.
Art is mostly failure
I have been renting an art studio for the last six month and last week, the lease ended. I have to take a deep breath before I write the following sentence: I almost never worked in that studio. I payed for it, furnished it and decorated it and then... crickets. It was impossible to bring myself to go there.
